VERONICA CANCIO DE GRANDY, M.A
Story & Pitch Developer
I communicate. I tell stories.
From trying to express my need for feminine products at a kiosk in the middle of the Polish countryside, to performing on stages across an ocean, to workshops for professional women; I have always, somehow, figured out how to tell my (or other people’s) stories.
I’ve never had a linear career. I’ve lived in seven different countries and my CV is composed of a series of seemingly-unrelated items. I am a certified Yoga instructor and bartender; I’ve been a magazine editor; head of communications; a stage actress; singer; voice-over professional; teacher; and an active volcano guide.
All these varied and wildly different scenarios have taught me two things: to survive and to get my point across by using any means at my disposal. I am often asked how I can turn long paragraphs into short statements that say the same thing. My answer: survival.
But if I’m being honest, I love the look on people’s faces when they understand exactly what I am trying to say. Or the happiness when I help someone create a campaign, branding concept, or project. I love to hear their laughter when I interpret intercultural jokes, when I speak with my hands, or that special moment, where I convince you that tell your story, just like this one I have told you.
I’m also allergic to milk.
